A culinary cart is always a great option . Not only does it provide a healthy and nutritious snack, it is also an opportunity to connect with residents one to one, especially for those who often choose not to engage in small or large group programs.

Healthy snack options like hummus crackers, and cheese , a smoothie bar, fresh berries with whipped cream or homemade bread with fresh herbs and cheese are wonderful options during a one-to-one culinary cart visit. It opens up the doors to reminisce, conversation and connection.

February is also Heart Health Month. What healthier snacks, drinks, or food-based programs were both nutritious and well received?

Families and loved ones often play a big role this month. What intergenerational or family-focused activities worked especially well?
