With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to put a strain on an already stressed

healthcare system, understanding and mitigating “Compassion Fatigue” becomes even

more relevant as the whole world tries to figure out how to adjust with our respective

“new normal.”

This mini-course will provide an overview on the important and relevant topic of

compassion fatigue and discuss steps that all Recreation Professionals can do to

mitigate the impact of compassion fatigue to support their wellbeing and keep them

inspired in this valued profession.

Information will also be provided about the new Canadian Dementia Designation called,

CDCPTM which stands for a Certified Dementia Care Provider.
